Betty (Bowe) Castor '63 is a legend in the Glassboro area and a female trailblazer. The new Beyond The Brown & Gold visits with Castor as she recounts her days in the 'Boro and how the Bowe name became such a fixture in Glassboro. Also, she explains the challenges of being a working female in the 60s and beyond; being appointed to the Fulbright Scholarship Board by President Barack Obama; and how she is still giving back to Rowan University.

Recently married, the couple stops by Beyond The Brown & Gold to discuss their journey of love and music. Along with playing as a musical duo throughout the country, the couple also finds time to teach music to children in Kennett Square PA. How does a South Jersey native end up in the Pacific Northwest? Let Hannah Battiste '15 tell you all about it in a new episode of Beyond The Brown & Gold. As a Rowan University student, Battiste spent her time as a part of Student University Programmers, Rowan After Hours, and more. She shares her memories of Rowan and life after Glassboro which included working with animals. Plus, Battiste discusses her multiple jobs; and talks about how cultivating her love of dance and theater at a young age led to becoming a choreographer for children.
